ISSUES

Housing

Housing is an issue near and dear to my heart. I have worked in affordable housing both in affordable housing resident services as well and housing finance for over 10 years. One of the many points of pride in Mableton has been its affordability. I aim to preserve that affordability while also bringing sustainable and quality development to Mableton. We need more development, but it must be done in a way that preserves the affordabiity that helped make Mableton such a desirable place to live.

Community

Any city that will be competitive and meet the needs of such a diverse community needs to have proactive infrastructure. Our roads, parks, and community centers are integral to quality of life. As your city council member, I will support policies that proactively address crumbling roads and bottle neck intersections to create a smoother time getting around Mableton. I will also ensure that our community centers and parks are properly funded so that families and seniors can enjoy our facilities with pride.

Jobs

I will bring quality jobs to Mableton through a comprehensive economic development strategy that makes Mableton an even more desirable place to do business. This will include long-term and short-term goals along with striving for diversity in the types of businesses that we attract to Mableton. Too much of one type can lead to a lack of investment and decreased desire to relocate for potential residents as well as potential businesses. Our main commercial corridors have the potential for more than just tire shops and fast food.
